Walter Herzog hält vom berühmten Bau des römischen Pantheon nur einen Ausschnitt fest: Der Betrachterstandpunkt ist auf einem benachbarten Dach zu denken. Man sieht eine Balustrade, rechts mit einer Leine mit Wäsche. Die Schmalseite einer aufgehenden Wand rechts und ein hohes Gitter links begrenzen den Blickwinkel auf das Pantheon, von dem nur ein Teil der Kuppel sichtbar ist.
